If your child is between grades 1-8 and looking to improve their skills, make new friends, and engage in friendly competition with players from around the state, then register now for the NJB Winter League!
Registration for the Sequoia chapter of this league is now open at the website. Go to www.sequoianjb.com.
Our chapter provides the following basketball programs:
ROOKIE LEAGUE:
Girls and boys in first grade through fourth grade will receive high level, high energy, fundamental basketball instruction powered by Team Esface and participate in scrimmage games. Rookies practice and scrimmage one 90-minute session per week for 10 consecutive weeks on Friday evenings from 5:00pm until 6:30pm beginning September 14, 2012 through November 16, 2012.
This is a great program for the beginning player. See Team Esface’s Rookie League highlights from last season.
ROOKIE LEAGUE FEES:
$225
DIVISIONAL LEAGUE:
Players participate in a mandatory evaluation in October and are drafted onto a team of 10 players coached by volunteers. Players participate in 2 – 1 hour practices each week beginning the week of October 20, 2012. Teams will play about 9 Sunday games against other Division teams within the NJB Silicon Valley Section, including a playoff tournament, from December 2, 2012 through March 24, 2013. Each player is guaranteed to play 2 of the 5 periods in each game. Some players will be eligible to play in an additional All Stars tournament at the end of the season. Divisional league is comprised of all boy teams and all girl teams. No coed teams.
There are three divisions: third and fourth graders play in Division 3, fifth and sixth graders play in Division 2, and seventh and eighth graders play in Division 1. The number of teams formed depends upon the number of players who register and the availability of local gyms for practices.
ALL NET LEAGUE:
Players participate in a mandatory evaluation in September and are selected to be on a team coached by an AAU or high school level coach. Players participate in a minimum of 2 – 2 hour practices each week beginning the week of October 1, 2012. Teams will play 12 Sunday games against other All Net teams within the NJB Silicon Valley Section, including a playoff tournament, from December 2, 2012 through March 24, 2013. Players are not guaranteed playing time during a game. There will likely be only 4 all boy teams. One for each grade: 5th grade through 8th
grade.
DIVISIONAL/ALL NET EVALUATIONS:
All players MUST be registered BEFORE evaluation. Players are only required to attend one evaluation. See website for details regarding the time and location.
DIVISIONAL/ALL NET FEES:
EARLY BIRD (Register on or before September 15, 2012)
$350
Register after September 15, 2012

Matt Lottich Life Skills Basketball Camp Best Dunk Contest Ever
Posted by admin in camps, entertainment, Videos on August 10th, 2011
This was the 8th year of Team Esface’s Matt Lottich Life Skills Basketball Camps (MLLS).
Not only does the unparalleled staff at MLLS know how to teach the game and have fun with young, aspiring ballers…many of them also have a unique ability to dunk. With the great energy provided by the kids of session 2, 3 coaches line up and make their first attempts in the first round.
1st dunk: Manny Martin with an amazing soar over junior coach Kyle Carter sitting in a chair in the key.
2nd dunk: Dele “hot sauce” Sobomehin throws it up for himself for a crispy two – to – one hand slam.
3rd dunk: Coach Matt Lottich closes out with a ridiculous 360! After all those seasons in overseas he still has it!
Much love to the session II kids…be on the look out for more dunks to come in sessions 3-6!
