about jeremy lin:

When Palo Alto native Jeremy Lin entered the NBA, critics called him too slow. They said he wasn’t strong enough. The critiqued the difficulty of the competition he played against in college. They questioned his jump shooting. They knew he had character. They trusted his IQ. But according to the major critics, he wasn’t ready.

While Jeremy waited for the opportunity to prove himself, he continued to work relentlessly on his basketball skills.  He attacked his body with incredible tenacity. He added a consistent mid-range and long-range jump shot.  His passing and vision shot through the roof. He shored up his ability to finish at the rim. Five years later, Jeremy Lin is an NBA Point Guard and a dynamic offensive and defensive threat.  Jeremy Lin’s success is the result of both a God-given opportunity and his relentless pursuit of skill development.

Compelled by His relationship with Jesus, Jeremy Lin founded the Jeremy Lin Foundation to love and serve children and youth, by providing hope, empowerment and leadership development. Because Jeremy believes God first loved us, we have the capability and opportunity to love others through our actions and giving of our resources (1 John 3:16-18).
